A BEST (municipal body) bus hit 3 vehicles near Plaza Cinema in Dadar at 9.30 am on Monday in Mumbai. A 22-year-old boy died and three other people were injured in the accident. The injured have been identified as Rishabh Gupta (25), Satish Waghmare (48) and Mahesh Doifode (50). The bus conductor is also among the injured. People present on the spot said that there was a loud noise and the debris of the vehicles scattered on the road. At one turn the traffic was slow and the speeding bus coming from behind passed the vehicles. Shivaji Park Police and Fire Brigade teams immediately reached the spot. The team reached there and started the rescue operation and handled the traffic. Two have been seriously injured. According to the police, the accident happened at around 10:45 am on Raita Bridge located in Govili village of Murbad. The van going from Kalyan to Murbad collided with a cement mixer truck coming from the front. The collision was so severe that 9 people in the van died on the spot, while two died while being taken to the hospital.
